Thanks to the IELTS test taker C from Brazil we can share the following topics and questions:

Listening testIELTS test in Brazil

Section 1. A phone conversation about trip booking and the activities in the area.

Section 2. A school secretary was giving a tour to the parents and talking about the school year activities.

Section 3, 4. Don’t remember.

Reading test

Passage 1. A text about British explorers of the Arctic who never returned from their journey. The text was also about teams trying to discover what happened to the explorers.

Passage 2. A text about a company that discovered a new source of renewable energy. The company used it to manufacture textile and plastic components. The text also explained the process of making plastic from corn and the various applications of the product in daily life and industry.

Passage 3. Don’t remember.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given a few diagrams showing how water is supplied to cities in Australia and how it will be done in the future. The task was to create a short text stating facts and comparing the diagrams.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Some people prefer to watch live performances from their home on TV or online, others prefer to be present at the event and experience it live. Discuss both ways and give your opinion.

Speaking test

Interview

- What is your full name?
- Can I see your ID?
- Where are you from?
- Do you work or study?
- What is your favourite wild animal? Why?
- Do you usually go to the zoo?

Cue Card

Talk about something important that you forgot to do recently. Please say

- What is it?
- Why did you forget it?
- What was the impact of it?

Discussion

- Do you usually forget to do things or does it rarely happen to you?
- Do you think adults remember their experiences as children?
- What is the impact of childhood memories on an adult?

We had to compare the data. Writing task 2 (an essay) A recent study showed that both developed and developing countries prosper because of the economic growth. People from developing countries are happier than before while people from developed countries are not as happy as they were in the past. Why is this happening? How can this situation be improved?
