Three IELTS test takers contributed to this exam update (thanks G, D and J!), here are the questions from Malaysia and Australia:

Listening testIELTS test in Malaysia

Section 1. About an insurance company for households.

Section 2. About a theme park.
Questions: multiple choice.

Section 3. A conversation between a tutor and a student about an assignment and its presentation.
Questions: multiple choice.

Section 4. A research on dolphins.
Questions: filling in blanks.

Reading test

Passage 1. About some botany books and studies of plants.

Passage 2. An article about icebergs in Antarctica.

Passage 3. A study about music and language.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given a line graph showing the quantities of goods transported in some European countries from 1980 to 2010 including prediction for 2015. There were four different methods of transportation used: railways, roads, water and pipelines.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Some people say that the purpose of education for individuals is to be useful to the society, while others argue that the purpose is to fulfill personal ambitions of an individual. Discuss, what is your opinion?

Cue Card

Describe a tourist attraction that you have recently visited. Please say
