Our Canadian friend S shared the following IELTS exam update. S didn’t remember the Listening topics but had a good recollection of the rest:

Reading testIELTS test in Canada

Passage 1. About animals survival after consuming poisonous plants.

Passage 2. About two German writers and their books.

Passage3. Don't remember.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given a line graph showing population growth in Japan in three different years. We had to describe the graph.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Some people believe that the government spends too much money on developing space exploration technology. There are many others financial needs that the government should address instead. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Speaking test

Interview

Candidates will be able to register and pay for their test from late March 2015. As this test is brand new and has been just announced one day ago, there isn’t much information available yet. We had to compare the data. Writing task 2 (an essay) A recent study showed that both developed and developing countries prosper because of the economic growth. People from developing countries are happier than before while people from developed countries are not as happy as they were in the past. Why is this happening? How can this situation be improved?
