Two IELTS test takers (thank you M and S) shared the details about their exams in Australia and Cambodia, and it seems the two countries had the same exam. No one remembered the Listening and Reading topics, so we only received the Writing and Speaking questions:

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given multiple line graphs showing the percentage of people in the USA using different internet search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and others between 2009 and 2011.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Some say that young people are not suitable for decision-making positions in governments; others, however, disagree. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

- What is your full name?

- Where are you from?
- Do you work or study?
- Can you tell me where you live?
- Do you like the place you live in? Why?
- What TV programs do you like to watch? Why?
- What has changed on TV over time?
- Did you watch TV more as a child than now?
- Do your children watch TV?
- Do you like them to watch it?
- What do you think about advertisements on TV?
- Is it a good thing or not?

Cue Card 1

Describe one advertisement that you liked the most. Please say

- What was it about?
- When did you see it?
- Why did you like it?

Discussion 1

- What is good and bad about advertisements in your view?

Cue Card 2

Talk about an important email that you have sent to someone. Please say

- Whom did you send it to?
- When did you send it?
- What was the email about?
- Please tell about the importance of this email.

Discussion 2

- Did you send an email to anybody recently?
- Do you think people will write or communicate via internet only in the future?
- What is the effective way of communication in your view?
- Why do sometimes people write a message rather than call somebody?
- When do you think there should be personal communication?
