Today I’m delighted to announce the 11 winners of our January 2014 IELTS results competition. What a great start to the New Year!

Academic Module – 1st placeBand 8 in IELTS

  • Aparna Valan from India, Band 8 (with 9’s in Listening and Reading)

  • Kamal Almkeri from Saudi Arabia, Band 7.5

Congratulations to the winners! Hope you’re out, partying and celebrating, because such scores should not go unnoticed! To mark this occasion we are sending your certificates of achievement to your emails. Your IELTS results will be displayed in the IELTS-Blog hall of fame – please feel free to show off to your friends!

How did these lovely people do so well? We would love to find out! At the moment all we know is that Yahnnah Francisco and Manvit Vekaria used Target Band 7 in their preparation – but (surprise, surprise!) both scored above 7! Well done guys!

We look forward to hearing from the winners their stories of how they prepared and studied, and what helped them achieve success in IELTS. Anything they wish to share will be posted on IELTS-Blog without delay, so everyone can use the same technique and get a better score in their own exam this month.

Candidates will be able to register and pay for their test from late March 2015. As this test is brand new and has been just announced one day ago, there isn’t much information available yet.
